Az Afrikai-Magyar Egyesület székházában több tucat érdeklődőnek mutatta be Pam Young Village Ventures nevű alapítványát és annak projektjeit. Pam több mint 20 éve dolgozik Afrikában, és 2000 óta Maliban, Diemában. Azóta Pam projektjeinek és a Budapest-Bamako Rally adományainak köszönhetően valamelyest fejlődésnek indult a térség. A helyiek nevében köszönetét fejezte ki a magyaroknak az eddig nyújtott segítségükért és támogatásért. A térségben élők számára a legnagyobb probléma a vízhiány, az oktatási nehézségek illetve a malária. Ezen súlyos gondok enyhítésére Pam különféle projekteket indított: kútfúrás, informatikai és varrótanfolyam, malária elleni védekezésre pedig technológiát szeretne fejleszteni a neem fa olajának kitermelésére. Az este folyamán Pam örömteli eseményekről is beszámolt, hiszen a rally során az AHU által szétosztott több ezer gumikesztyűnek köszönhetően az orvosi vizsgálaton a betegeknek legalább azért nem kell külön fizetniük. A rally során kiszállított bicikliket pedig többek között a környék tizennyolc iskolája között osztották szét, és azok a gyerekek kapták meg, akik a szemétszedő versenyen a legtöbb szemetet gyűjtötték össze, hiszen Pam nagyon fontosnak tartja annak tudatosítását a helyiekben, hogy mindenért meg kell dolgozni. Az adomány szolárpanel segítségével – ha korlátozott mértékben is – elektromos energiával látja el az általa szervezett tanfolyamokhoz használt számítógépeket.

Diemába a világ minden tájáról érkeznek önkéntesek, szeretettel várja a magyar segíteni szándékozókat is. Pam az előadása során többször hangsúlyozta, hogy a projektben való részvétel legfontosabb feltétele a segíteni vágyás, nincs szükség előképzettségre, sokféle projektben lehet részt venni, a hatékony önkéntes munkához az ajánlott minimum idő három hét.

Mme Pam Young s'est présentée aux volontaires hongrois

C'est au siège de l'Union Afrique-Hongrie que des dizaines d'intéressés suivirent avec attention l'exposé de Mme Pam Young sur sa fondation Village Ventures et ses projets. Pam travaille en Afrique depuis plus de 20 ans et à Diema au Mali depuis 2000. Depuis lors, grâce à ses projets et quelques dons issus du Rallye Budapest-Bamako, on peut constater un début de développement dans la région.
Au nom des habitants de cette région du Mali, elle a exprimé ses remerciements au peuple hongrois pour l'aide et le soutien offert jusqu'à présent à ces peuples dans le besoin.
Pour les habitants de cette région le plus grand problème est celui de la pénurie d'eau, du paludisme et des difficultés de scolarisation.
Dans le but d'atténuer ces problèmes graves, Pam a lancé divers projets tel que : le forage de puits, l'apprentissage de la couture pour les femmes et l'utilisation de l'ordinateur à l'école pour les enfants. En ce qui concerne la lutte contre le paludisme, elle voudrait développer une technologie basée sur l'extraction et l'exploitation de l'huile de margousier.
Lors de la soirée organisée à son honneur Pam avait fait le compte rendue de certains événements joyeux tel que la distribution par AHU des milliers de gants médicaux en caoutchouc permettant ainsi aux malades de ne pas payer pour ce supplément lors d'un examen médical.
Quant aux bicyclettes expédiées là-bas, elles avaient été partagées entre les dix-huit écoles de la région, et les enfants qui en avaient bénéficié sont ceux qui avaient participé à la compétition sur le ramassage d'ordures avec gagnants ceux qui avaient collecté le plus d'ordures car Pam également a pour but de sensibiliser les locaux sur l'importance du travail pour l'obtention de tout.

C'est grâce à l'électricité (limitée) produite par de panneaux solaires, le fonctionnement des ordinateurs utilisés pour les cours d'informatiques est possible. A Diema il y a des bénévoles venant de partout dans le monde. Les bénévoles hongrois prêts à aider seront aussi les bienvenus.
Pendant son exposé, Pam avait a plusieurs reprises souligné que la condition la plus importante pour participer à ses projets d'aide c'est le désir d'aider, pas de qualification préalable nécessaire. Il y a possibilité pour tous de prendre part à un travail bénévole dont la période minimale recommandée est d'environ trois semaines. Pam Young presented to the Hungarian volunteers

It is at the headquarters of the African-Hungarian Union that dozens of stakeholders followed closely the presentation by Mrs. Pam Young on her Village Ventures foundation and its projects. Pam works in Africa for over 20 years and Diema in Mali since 2000. Since then, through her projects and some donations from the Budapest-Bamako Rally, there may be an early development in region.
On behalf of the people of this region of Mali, she thanked the Hungarian people for their help and support offered so far to these people in need.
For the people of this region the biggest problem is the water shortage, malaria and challenges of schooling.
In order to alleviate these serious problems, Pam has launched various projects such as: drilling wells, learning tailoring for women and the use of computers in schools for children. As regards the fight against malaria, she would like to develop a technology based on the extraction and exploitation of the neemtree oil.
During the party held in her honor Pam had the minutes of joyous events such as the distribution by AHU of thousands of medical rubber gloves, allowing patients to avoid paying for the supplement during a medical examination.
As for the bike shipped down, they were divided between eighteen schools in the region, and the children who benefited were those who had participated in the competition on the garbage collection with winners those who had collected the most garbage because Pam also aims to raise awareness about the importance of local work to obtain all.

It is thanks to (limited) electricity produced by solar panels, operation of the computers used for computer classes is possible. In Diema there are volunteers from around the world. Hungarian volunteers willing to help are also welcome.
During her presentation, Pam had repeatedly stressed that the most important condition to participate in her aid projects is the desire to help, no pre-qualification required.
